The Coming Glory Invasion | Bishop Kyle | 1.7.24

THE COMING GLORY INVASION

Isaiah 59:1-21

Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. 2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. 3 For your hands are defiled with blood, And your fingers with iniquity; Your lips have spoken lies, Your tongue has muttered perversity. 4 No one calls for justice, Nor does any plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; They conceive evil and bring forth iniquity. 5 They hatch vipers’ eggs and weave the spider’s web; He who eats of their eggs dies, And from that which is crushed a viper breaks out. 6 Their webs will not become garments, Nor will they cover themselves with their works; Their works are works of iniquity, And the act of violence is in their hands. 7 Their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed innocent blood; Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; Wasting and destruction are in their paths. 8 The way of peace they have not known, And there is no justice in their ways; They have made themselves crooked paths; Whoever takes that way shall not know peace.

9 Therefore justice is far from us, Nor does righteousness overtake us; We look for light, but there is darkness! For brightness, but we walk in blackness! 10 We grope for the wall like the blind, And we grope as if we had no eyes; We stumble at noonday as at twilight; We are as dead men in desolate places. 11 We all growl like bears, And moan sadly like doves; We look for justice, but there is none; For salvation, but it is far from us. 12 For our transgressions are multiplied before You, And our sins testify against us; For our transgressions are with us, And as for our iniquities, we know them: 13 In transgressing and lying against the Lord, And departing from our God, Speaking oppression and revolt, Conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood 14 Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter. 15 So truth fails, And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.

Then the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him That there was no justice. 16 He saw that there was no man, And wondered that there was no intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; And His own righteousness, it sustained Him. 17 For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, And a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, And was clad with zeal as a cloak. 18 According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, Fury to His adversaries, Recompense to His enemies; The coastlands He will fully repay. 19 So shall they fear The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. 20 “The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” Says the Lord.

21 “As for Me,” says the Lord, “this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” says the Lord, “from this time and forevermore.

Isaiah 60:1-5

Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. 2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. 3 The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. 4 “Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side. 5 Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.

  1. INTERPRETATION

Isaiah 59:1-8    Sin and Compromise of God’s People

Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. 2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear….8 The way of peace they have not known, And there is no justice in their ways; They have made themselves crooked paths; Whoever takes that way shall not know peace.

Isaiah 59:9-13.  Result of their Compromise

9 Therefore justice is far from us, Nor does righteousness overtake us; We look for light, but there is darkness! For brightness, but we walk in blackness!... 14 Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter. 15 So truth fails, And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.

Isaiah 59:15-20  JESUS Be Like “Im gonna fix this!

Abiding: Rediscovering Radical Christianity | Pastor Chris | 12.31.23

                                                                                  Abiding

Rediscovering Radical Christianity

1 Corinthians 9:24-27

24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way as to take the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games trains with strict discipline. They do it for a crown that is perishable, but we do it for a crown that is imperishable. 26 Therefore I do not run aimlessly; I do not fight like I am beating the air. 27 No, I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

He makes it clear that the goal is to win…. And as christians we win if:

We die believing.

Consequently, it means nothing to amass for yourselves accolades and pats on the back if at the time of death you have abandoned the faith.

Matthew 7:21-23

21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?

23 Then I will tell them plainly, I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!

John 15:1-17

I Am the True Vine

15 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away,

Vinedresser: a worker of the soil, farmer, farm-laborer, a person who cultivates or prunes grapevines.

Only those that are fruitful remain.

What is the fruit that comes from the spirit?

Galatians 5:22,23

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control.

The opposite of the works of the flesh:

Galatians 5:19-21

19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, (murder) drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do (make a practice of) such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

If you are bearing the fruits of the spirit….. he continues to expose the evil in you so that you may bear more.

3 Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.

We have no good, and can do no good apart from him

5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.

3 promises if we abide:

1. If we abide in him we will bear fruit, but if we do not we will be separated and burned in the fire.

7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. 9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.

2. If his words abide in us and we ask according to his will it will be done.

3.God gets the Glory when we abide in him.

10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.

Obedience!

11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.

12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

14 You are my friends if you do what I command you.

1 Chronicles 4:9

9 Jabez was more honorable than his brothers; and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bore him in pain.” 10 Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain!”

God Thank you for all that you have done!

Thank you for all that you are going to do!

Help us to abide in you!

Grace us to obey your commands!

And enlarge our territory!

For your Glory!

The Way Of The Cross | Pastor Chris | 12.24.23

The Way of the Cross

Gods master plan to reconcile humanity

Recap:

The inauguration of Christ:

Isaiah. 9:6-7

6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His

shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father,

Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the

throne of David and over his kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from

that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”

In birth, Jesus fulfilled the required prophecies for him to be the Messiah.

He was of the lineage of Abraham (Gen 17:7) and David (Isa 9:7) and he was raised in Galilee etc…

This was verified by heaven evidenced by the Shepherds account.

Luke 2:13-14 (the shepherds encounter)

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and

saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest heaven,

and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

His life and ministry:

The Jews expected a conquering King as the fulfillment of all the prophecy

Psalm 9:7–10

The Lord reigns forever;
    he has established his throne for judgment.
He rules the world in righteousness
    and judges the peoples with equity.
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
    a stronghold in times of trouble.
Those who know your name trust in you,
    for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you”.

Isaiah 11:4

4 He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth;

    with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.

5 Righteousness will be his belt

    and faithfulness the sash around his waist.

I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open” (Isaiah 22:22).

What he taught:

The Beatitudes:

2 And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying:

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Psalm 14:2–3 (ESV)

2  The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man,

to see if there are any who understand,

who seek after God.

3  They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt;

there is none who does good,

not even one.

And in order to bring us back to him he died for our sins:

Isaiah 53:5-6

5 But he was pierced for our transgressions;

he was crushed for our iniquities;

upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,

and with his wounds we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray;

we have turned—every one—to his own way;

and the LORD has laid on him

the iniquity of us all.

When he died and rose again

he did two things, he brought the holy spirit and left for us a way……

That is the way of the cross!

Matthew 16:24-25

24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever would save his life[g] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

We have to die continually, daily hourly, to the things we want, our desires and submit them to the scriptures.

That is the way of the cross.

We must strive to be:

Poor in spirit

Those who mourn

Meek

Hungry and thirsty for righteousness

Merciful

Pure in heart

Peacemakers
