THE POWER OF
DA CROSS
(Part V)
Genesis 3:9-15
9 Then
the Lord God called to Adam and
said to him, “Where are you?” 10 So
he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was
naked; I hid myself.” 11 And
He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree
of which I commanded you that you should not eat?” 12 Then
the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the
tree, and I ate.” 13 And
the Lord God said to the woman,
“What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent
deceived me, and I ate.” 14 So
the Lord God said to the serpent:
“Because
you have done this, you are cursed more than all
cattle, and more than every beast of the field; on
your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust All
the days of your life. 15And
I will put enmity between you and the woman, and
between your seed and her Seed; He
shall bruise your head, And you
shall bruise His heel.”
Hebrew 6:19-20
19 This
hope we have as an anchor of the
soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where
the forerunner has entered for us, even
Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

IMPORTANT VERSES YOU SHOULD KNOW
A.
You must
know Romans 1:16-17 (The gospel is the Power of God)
16 For
I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation
for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for
the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed
from faith to faith; as it is written, “The
just shall live by faith.”
The Gospel is the death,
burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
Believe – pisteuō – Confidence in, trust in, rely
on.
Belief requires corresponding
action.
B.
You must
know Romans 1:18-21 (All humans are without excuse)
18 For
the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and
unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them,
for God has shown it to them. 20 For
since the creation of the world, His invisible attributes are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.
21 because, although they knew God, they did
not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in
their thoughts and their foolish hearts were darkened.
·
God has put in every human the knowledge of how
to get home.
C. You must know Romans 3:28 (We are justified by faith
not law)
28 Therefore
we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of
the law.
D. You must know Romans 5:1-2 (By faith we have peace and
access)
Therefore,
having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our
Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access
by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of
the glory of God.
E. You must know Romans 5:16-17 (We reign in life)
17 For
if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who
receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign
in life through the One, Jesus Christ.
Reign
– basileuō – To be Kings and Queens.
F. You must know Romans 6:1 (We are dead to sin)
What
shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly
not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer
in it?
G. You must know Romans 6:11-12 (Consider yourself dead to
sin)
Likewise
you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in
Christ Jesus our Lord. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in
your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
