THE RESURRECTION: A PICTURE OF VICTORY
Romans 5:16-17
17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

I. HOW GIANTS MANIFEST
A. They show up when you least expect them – David just showed up
“David heard them” (v. 23)
B. They love to challenge you – They won’t let you be (v. 8-9) –
Every day for 40 days
C. They specialize in provoking fear, but they are never what they seem
to be –(v. 11) “dismayed and greatly afraid”
II. HOW TO DEFEAT GIANTS
A. Don’t let them intimidate you
(v. 32) “thy servant will go and fight”
B. Look beyond yourself
(v. 33) “thou art not able”
C. Don’t consider the giant’s history
(v. 34) “a man of war from his youth”
D. Consider your history with God
lion and bear
D. Understand the spiritual component
(v. 44) “Philistine cursed David by his gods”
F. Realize God has a stake in this
“I come to you in the name of the Lord”
E. Speak Faith
1 Samuel 17:46-47
46 “This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. 47 Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands.”
