I. IT’S ALWAYS BEEN BLOOD
Heb 9:22
And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
Lev 17:11
For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’
1. Garden of Eden
Gen 3:21
Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.
2. Abel’s Offering
Gen 4:2-5
Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. 3 And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord. 4 Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lordrespected Abel and his offering, 5 but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell.
3. Noah’s Reconstruction

Exodus 22:29-30
“You shall not delay to offer the first of your ripe produce and your juices. The firstborn of your sons you shall give to Me. 30 Likewise you shall do with your oxen and your sheep. It shall be with its mother seven days; on the eighth day you shall give it to Me.
II. WHAT DID IMPERFECT BLOOD DO?
1. Temporary covering for sin
a. Animal had to be spotless
b. The person offering had to identify with the animal
c. The person had to be involved with killing the animal
d. This provided a temporary covering for sin
e. It did not purge the conscience
2. Forgiveness and removal of Sin
a. Day of Atonement (Leviticus 16)
b. One goat sacrificed for a sin offering for the people of Israel (Lev. 16:15)
c. Second goat released into the wilderness (Lev 16:20-22)
d. Sin offering provided forgiveness
e. Other goat provided removal of sin
3. Protection
Exodus 12:1-13
Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,…3 Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying: ‘On the tenth of this month every man shall take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his father, a lamb for a household…7 And they shall take someof the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it…It is the Lord’s Passover. 12 ‘For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord. 13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.
4. Healing
Psalm 105:37
He also brought them out with silver and gold, And there was none feeble among His tribes.
Germs are looking for a way into our bodies
Once in they begin to multiply
WBC’s Stationed at different places
· Thymus
· Spleen
· Tonsils
· Blood vessels
· Lymph nodes
· Small intestine
· Adenoids
Lymph nodes get swollen in neck and under arms cause they go to work.
They filter out the bad dead cells
The life of the flesh is in the blood
The blood brought Deliverance when others were being killed
Prosperity while others were being judged. Exo 12:36
Healing while others were plagued.
III. JESUS’ BLOOD
1. It’s Perfect
1 Peter 1:18-19

2. It’s Spotless
Heb 9:14
how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
