I. JESUS IS TO BE OUR PRIMARY FOCUS

1. The Son has the final Revelation

Hebrews 1:1-4

God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time

past to the fathers by the prophets, 2  has in these last days

spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all

things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3  who being the

brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and

upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by

Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the

Majesty on high, 4  having become so much better than the

angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name

than they.

2. All the body is served by the head

Col 2:17-19

Which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of

Christ. 18  Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in

false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things

which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

19  and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the

body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments,

grows with the increase that is from God.

3. Loosing first love is detrimental

Rev 2:1-5

To the angel of the church of Ephesus write, ‘These things says

He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the

midst of the seven golden lampstands: 2  “I know your works,

your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who

are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles

and are not, and have found them liars; 3  and you have

persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s

sake and have not become weary. 4  Nevertheless I have this

against you, that you have left your first love. 5  Remember

therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the

first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove

your lampstand from its place—unless you repent

4. He is Preeminent

Col 1:15-20

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all

creation. 16  For by Him all things were created that are in heaven

and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or

dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created

through Him and for Him. 17  And He is before all things, and in

Him all things consist. 18  And He is the head of the body, the

church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in

all things He may have the preeminence. 19  For it pleased the

Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20  and by Him to

reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth

or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His

cross.

5. Warfare is to disrupt us from Christ. MEDIA JUST

2 Cor 11:1-3

Oh, that you would bear with me in a little folly—and indeed you

do bear with me. For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy.

For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present

you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3  But I fear, lest somehow, as

the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds

may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ

Matthew 13:18-23

“Therefore, hear the parable of the sower: 19  When anyone hears

the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the

wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his

heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside. 20  But he who

received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word

and immediately receives it with joy; 21  yet he has no root in

himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or

persecution arises because of the word, immediately he

stumbles. 22  Now he who received seed among the thorns is he

who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the

deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes

unfruitful. 23  But he who received seed on the good ground is he

who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit

and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty

Ex. Jesus is the Word

II. THE MAGNIFICANCE OF JESUS

o Adam

1 Cor 15:45

And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.”

The last Adam became a life-giving spirit

 Was the Son of God

 Adam gave life to all of humanity / Jesus gives life to all

humanity

 Given Dominion / Jesus Has Dominion

 Succumbed to Satan / Defeated Satan

 The LAST ADAM

o Advocate

1 John 2:1

My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may

not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the

Father, Jesus Christ the righteous

 Job and Satan

 Your Own Conscious

 After death

 Heb 4:4-16

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has

passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us

hold fast our confession. 15  For we do not have a High Priest

who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in

all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16  Let us

therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may

obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

o Almighty

Revelation 1:8

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,”

says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the

Almighty.”

Sum total of all might and Power in the Universe

Ex. Jesus talking to Pilate..

Ex. Peter in Garden… 12 Legions of Angels?

Ex. God of the Mountains and Valley. 1 Sam 20:1-30

o Alpha and Omega

Rev 22:13

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the

First and the Last”

 Sum total of all permutations

 He is the END (All begins and consummates in HIM)

o Amen

Rev 3:14

“And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,

These things says the Amen

 Final Word

 Covenantal Word

 Promises are yes and AMEN

 Ex. Kemi having to grab hold on the horns of the

Altar

 Remind God of His Promises

o Apostle of our Profession

Heb 3:1

Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling,

consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession

 Sent One of our Profession and Confession

 Makes our profession possible

o Arm of the Lord –

Isaiah 51:9

Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the

LORD been revealed?

o Author and Finisher of our Faith

Heb 12:2

“…looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…”

Ex. Faith is belief in a person (It’s Relationship)

Most of our desire are planted by Him…

Ex. Like me telling the kids about vacation (Wasn’t on their

mind)

o Beginning of the Creation of God

Rev 3:14

“…‘These things says the… Beginning of the creation of God…”

o Bread of Life

John 6:32

Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses

did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you

the true bread from heaven. 33  For the bread of God is He who

comes down from heaven and gives life to the world

Ex. Manna was everything needed for Israel. (31 key

vitamins and minerals, Proteins and carbs etc.)

Everything your spirit and soul need

Ex. Yesterday (Warfare emotional state )

o Chief Shepherd

1 Peter 5:4

and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the

crown of glory that does not fade away

o Cornerstone

Psalm 118:22

The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief

cornerstone

Except the Lord build the House…
