THE POWER OF AGREEMENT
I. Authorization
Genesis 1:26
Then God (Elohim) said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness
Genesis 1:28
Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the
earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the
air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.
Subdue – Subjugate, Violate
Psalm 115:14-16
14 May the LORD give you increase more and more, You and your children. 15 May you
be blessed by the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. 16 The heaven, even the
heavens, are the LORD’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men.
Psalm 8:4-6
4 What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? 5
For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him
with glory and honor. 6 You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your
hands; You have put all things under his feet.
II. METHODS
1. Agreement – Orientation of your heart
2. Words – Released Energy/ Legal Transaction
3. Prayer – Petitions / Request
III. UNPACKING AGREEMENTS
1. Your Personal sovereignty Demands Agreement
a. Agreement is the door to the spiritual realm
Romans 10:9-11
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart
that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the
heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is
made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will
not be put to shame
Romans 6:16
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his
servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience
unto righteousness?
2. Agreement in Scripture
James 1:12-15
12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been
approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to
those who love Him. 13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted
by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt
anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own
desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to
sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
When desire has conceived
Mark 11:22-24
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto
you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou
cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those
things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe
that ye receive them, and ye shall have them
1 Timothy 4:1-2
1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from
the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,
2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot
iron.”
3. Our Warfare is About Agreements
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 For the
weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling
down of strong holds; 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that
exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every
thought to the obedience of Christ
Casting Down Imaginations – “logismos” (Strong’s Concordance
#3053). It is a “reckoning, computation, a reasoning such as hostile to the
Christian faith; a judgment or decision such as conscience passes.”
Bringing Into Captivity – Most of us have never been physically captive
to someone or incarcerated in a prison, so “captivity” can be a challenging
concept for us. The word here speaks of captivation. When you are
captivated by something or someone, it is hard to break away from what
has your attention. But also the word implies “to lead away captive.”
IV. DEALING WITH UNRIGHTEOUS AGREEMENTS
1. Ask God to show us all unrighteous agreements in our mind
2. Recognize and admit that you have agreed with the wrong source
3. Rehearse what the truth says about it
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble,
whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are
lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there
is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
4. Mentally and Verbally Break the Agreement
5. As the Lord to remove the agreements and take them from you
This was a very timely message Bishop!
