Seducing Spirits

1 Timothy 4:1

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.

HEED

Seducing spirits need Demonic doctrines to pave their way.

I believe Hyper Grace may be such.

I.                  THE WARNING.

1.   Latter Days will require intentionality.

At the same time, however, the last days are days of testing for the people of God, calling for faithful perseverance in the face of the contempt and hostility of the ungodly.

·        Perilous times.  (2 Tm 3:1)

·        “Scoffers will come in the last days”. (2 Pt 3:3)

·        “You must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; they said to you, ‘In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions’ ” (Jude 18).

2.   Satan is after your faith.

3.   He will use Seducing Spirits.

plános; to deceive. deceitful, deceiving, seducing. (1 Tim. 4:1)

4.   These spirits produce Demonic Doctrines.

5.   Some will give heed to them.

Heed - proséchō; to have,  to hold the mind or the ear toward someone, to pay attention, to apply one’s mind to something, attend to, give heed to, and used as follows.

II.              YOUR CONSCIENCE IS THE ISSUE.

1.   What is CONSCIENCE?

a.   Is where God expresses His Holiness.

Romans 9:1

I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit.

b.   It testifies concerning inclination and action.

c.     Before Saved it exist but in a coma.

d.   Never argues or reasons just informs of what God’s will is and whether we are obeying it.

e.    Represents God’s highest will for his children today.

1 Corinthians 10:23

²³ All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify.

f.     Like a window to believers spirit that lets the light of heaven in. Romans 6:12-18

g.   Sensitivity to conscience can be increased or decreased.

1 Timothy 4:12

h.    Conscience is proportional to a persons maturity.

Philippians 3:12-15

¹² Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. ¹³ Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, ¹⁴ I ⁿpress toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

i.      Conscience is a God given current standard of holiness.

2.   The Importance of a Good Conscience.

a.   Can’t serve right with improper conscience. 

Hebrews 9:14

¹⁴ How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without ^gspot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

b.   Won’t/Can’t draw near with unclear conscience.  (constantly under accusation)

Hebrews 10:22

²² Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

c.     Our Level of consecration is determined by how we obey conscience.

d.   Necessary to be bold in approaching God and perfect in communion with Him

e.    Must have good conscience to have great faith.

1 Timothy 1:5

⁵ Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned.

1 Timothy 1:19

¹⁹ Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: ²⁰ Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

f.     The extent of our spirituality is measured by the sensitivity of our conscience.

Acts 23:1

And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.

g.   Knowledge Alters Conscience.

1 Corinthians 8:7   

Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.

III.          SATAN SEEKS TO AFFECT OUR CONSCIENCE BY A DISTORTION OF GRACE.

Jude 1:3-5

³ Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. ⁴ For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁵ I will therefore put you in remembrance…”

Jude 1:23-24

²⁰ But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, ²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. ²² And of some have compassion, making a difference: ²³ and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.²⁴ Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.
