TWO DIMENSIONS OF LEADERSHIP

The season we are entering into only those who excel in two-dimensional leadership will be given dominion.

I.                   TWO REALMS –
1 Corinthians 15:44
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

1.     Incomplete without each other.
2.     The fall separated the two – Ex. The tree was intimate knowledge of the other realm
3.     Dualism further separated the two
4.     Two Kingdoms that overlap each realm (God and Darkness)

II. GOD IS BRINGING THE TWO TOGETHER AND GIVING THEM TO JESUS

1.     Ephesians 1:10

10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

            2. Revelations 21:3

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

            3. Revelations 11:15

15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

4.     Isaiah 2:2-5; 17
2 In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. 3 Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. 4 He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. 5 Come, descendants of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the Lord. 17 The arrogance of man will be brought low and human pride humbled; the Lord alone will be exalted in that day,

III. FAVOR IS SHIFTING TO THOSE WHO HAVE DOMINION IN BOTH REALMS

1.     Deuteronomy 28:1-14
“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God: “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. “Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. “Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. “The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. “The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you. “The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways. 10 Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you. 11 And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. 12 The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. 13 And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. 14 So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

NOTHING CAN STOP THE BLESSING
Isaiah 9:6-7
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: And the government shall be upon his shoulder: And his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, Upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, To order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice From henceforth even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Galatians 3:6-8
6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, sayingIn thee shall all nations be blessed. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

Blessings are not just a condition….
Not just something you are acted upon by but something you become (state, dimension, realm) That affects everything.
Proverbs 10:22
22 The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.

I.                   THE BLESSING THROUGHOUT THE BIBLE
Genesis 1:28
28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Malé (replenish) To fill with reference to space and time. Perpetually renew and supply

When God blessed them in the Garden of Eden he was transferring Power not just speaking. He transferred the same power He used to create the universe. He put the same blessing on them so they could finish the creation He started.

II.                THE BLESSING LOST AND REESTABLISHED
1.     The flood. Genesis 6
2.     Noah. Genesis 9
Genesis 9:1
And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
Replenish – perpetually renew and supply (how?) with the blessing
The Blessing – The power or the anointing to take the worst place in the earth and turn it into the garden of Eden
Revelations 5:11-12
11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.
Covenant of God that destroys the curse – Power of God that makes things like heaven –
3.     Abraham
Genesis 12:1-3
12 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and you shall be a blessing3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curse thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
a.      Abrahams Stuff Protected (Genesis 12:10-20) Pharaoh’s House plagued by taking Sarah in

b.     Abraham and Lot (Causes you to be cool no matter what happens)
Genesis 13 – Abraham knew He had the Blessing
c.      Abraham defeats 5 Kings
Genesis 14:14-16
14 And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan. 15 And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus. 16 And he brought back all the goods and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.

d.     Sarah Received strength to bear in Genesis 21 but in Genesis 17:20 God blessed her
Genesis 17:15-17 (Dead things come to life – Impossible things possible)
15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her. 17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is a hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
e.      Genesis 20: (Protects Your Stuff)
f.       Isaac Carried on the Blessing
Genesis 26:1-4; 12 (Turn a famine into a Harvest)
And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar. 2 And the Lord appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of 3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you, and will bless you; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father; 4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; 12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.

g.      Three times more increase with the same effort.  Leviticus  25:1-7; 25:18-22
25 And the Lord spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall keep a sabbath to the LordSix years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather its fruit; but in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath to the Lord. You shall neither sow your field nor prune your vineyard. What grows of its own accord of your harvest you shall not reap, nor gather the grapes of your untended vine, for it is a year of rest for the land. And the sabbath-produce of the land shall be food for you: for you, your male and female servants, your hired man, and the stranger who dwells with you, for your livestock and the beasts that are in your land—all its produce shall be for food.

18 ‘So you shall observe My statutes and keep My judgments, and perform them, and you will dwell in the land in safety. 19 Then the land will yield its fruit, and you will eat your fill, and dwell there in safety. 20 ‘And if you say, “What shall we eat in the seventh year since we shall not sow nor gather in our produce?” 21 Then I will command My blessing on you in the sixth year, and it will bring forth produce enough for three years. 22 And you shall sow in the eighth year, and eat old produce until the ninth year; until its produce comes in, you shall eat of the old harvest.
.

III.             HOW YOU GET AND RELEASE THE BLESSING
1.     Faith
Galatians 3:6-9
6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

2.     Laying Hands and Speaking (Isaac Blessed Jacob)
Genesis 27:27-33
27 And he came near and kissed him; and he smelled the smell of his clothing, and blessed him and said: “Surely, the smell of my son Is like the smell of a field which the Lord has blessed. 28 Therefore may God give you Of the dew of heaven, Of the fatness of the earth, And plenty of grain and wine. 29 Let peoples serve you, And nations bow down to you. Be master over your brethren, And let your mother’s sons bow down to you. Cursed be everyone who curses you, And blessed be those who bless you!” 30 Now it happened, as soon as Isaac had finished blessing Jacob, and Jacob had scarcely gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting. 31 He also had made savory food, and brought it to his father, and said to his father, “Let my father arise and eat of his son’s game, that your soul may bless me.” 32 And his father Isaac said to him, “Who are you?” So he said, “I am your son, your firstborn, Esau.” 33 Then Isaac trembled exceedingly, and said, “Who? Where is the one who hunted game and brought it to me? I ate all of it before you came, and I have blessed him—and indeed he shall be blessed.”

3.     Declaring
Numbers 6:22-27
22 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 23 “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them: 24 “The Lord bless you and keep you; 25 The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; 26        The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” ’ 27 “So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.”

4.     Choosing
Deuteronomy 30:19

19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Maintaining a Pure and Tender Heart
Proverb 4:23
23   Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life

Keep – keep watch over, protect, preserve, observe, comply with.
The word is also used to denote a fortified city, stronghold, guard or overseer, a stronghold, secret caverns you want to stay secret.

INTRO
God chooses and uses people based on heart
·        Prophet Samuel and Eliab. 1 Samuel 16:7
·        David
Matthew 15:8
8 ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.

I.                   WHY A PURE HEART
1.       Necessary to Ascend-
Psalm 24:3-4
3 Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? 4        He who has clean hands and a pure heart.

2.       We See _____________
Matthew 5:8
8 Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.

3.       Love from a pure heart is the gospel
1 Peter 1:22
22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart.

1 Timothy 1:3-5
As I urged you when I went into Macedonia—remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine, nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith. Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith.

4.       As your heart is so are you-
Proverbs 23:7
7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

5.       Heart ______________speech
Luke 6:45
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good, and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

6.       The heart produces action-
Acts 5:3
But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?

7.       Heart Controls Your Faith
Roman 10:10
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

Mark 11:23
23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

II.                WHY A TENDER HEART
The opposite of a tender heart is a hard heart. Hard hearts are very dangerous. Biblically they have been disastrous.
1.     A Hard Heart Affects ________________________
Matthew 19:8-10
He said to them, “Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning, it was not so. And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery.” 10 His disciples said to Him, “If such is the case of the man with his wife, it is better not to marry.

2.     A Hard Heart Grieves God
Mark 3:1-5
And he entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there which had a withered hand. And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him. And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth. And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save a life, or to kill? But they held their peace. And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he said unto the man, Stretch forth your hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

3.     A ______________Blocks Revelation
Mark 16:14
14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table, and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.

Mark 8:17
17 But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, “Why do you reason because you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive nor understand? Is your heart still hardened?

4.     A Hard Heart is a Path to Destruction
Exodus 4:21
21 And the Lord said to Moses, “When you go back to Egypt, see that you do all those wonders before Pharaoh which I have put in your hand. But I will harden his heart so that he will not let the people go.

5.     Shuts Down the Promised Land
Psalm 95:7-11
7 He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice: 8 “Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, As in the day of trial in the wilderness, 9        When your fathers tested Me; They tried Me, though they saw My work. 10 For forty years I was grieved with that generation, And said, ‘It is a people who go astray in their hearts, And they do not know My ways.’ 11 So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest.’ “

III.             PORTRAIT OF A PURE TENDER HEART
1.     Sincere pure devotion to a person
2 Corinthian 11:1-3
Oh, that you would bear with me in a little folly—and indeed you do bear with me. For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

2.     Pure Love for the Brethren
1 Peter 1:22
22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart

3.     A Heart Free from any pollutants
a.      No Bitterness
Ephesian 4:31-32
31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Hebrews 12:14-15
14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:[1]15 Looking diligently lest any man fails of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up troubles you, and thereby many be defiled.
v Looking Diligently – Being Overseers, Looking over your own soul. The same word is used as Elders and Overseers in (1 Peter 5:2; and Acts 20:28)

v Failhustereo to be late so you don’t finish the goal.
v Root of Bitterness. Roots are foundations. All nourishment goes through the root of every aspect of the plant. If the root is corrupt it corrupts everything.  Bitterness is a root to the soul that affects every thought, decision, etc. It produces a filter through which every action and thought passes through. It literally changes your disposition.

v Springing up – quick progression, Progress that unfolds and develops over time.
v Many – It affects everything it touches…It’s viral
v Defiled – stained, polluted and corrupted

4.     No Wrath
Wrath (Inner Calm) – thumos – a violent aggressive motion like air or wind. Hurricane force wind.
Wrath gives place to the Devil…
Neither gives place to the devil No Anger (Contentment)– desire with grief. Fretting. A
Reaction to disappointments and unmet expectations..

Ephesian 4:26
26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27 neither give place to the devil.

Ecclesiastes 7:9
Be not hasty in your spirit to be angry: for anger rests in the bosom of fools

Proverbs 16:32
32 He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.

Proverbs 19:11
The discretion of a man deferreth his anger, And it is his glory to pass over a transgression.

Resolve the issue when/if you can
Forget it when you can't resolve it
Use scripture when you are weak

5.     No Going Off (No Clamour)– krague – an outcry, a public display (going off on somebody)

6.     Affirming Speech (No evil speaking) – blasphemia – verbal abuse, slandering someone behind their back or to their face

7.     No Malice (Sincere Motives) (Kakia) Malintent. Doing this from the negative intent

How

1.       Seek God-

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

2.       Keep it-
Proverb 4:23
23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.

3.       Purify it-
James 4:8-10
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
