Five Things I Need You To Know | Pastor Chris Searcy

Five things that I need you to know

1 Thessalonians 5:12

Our Vision:

Ephesians 4:13

13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become

mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

1 Thessalonians 5:12 KJV

And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the

Lord, and admonish you;

to acknowledge/to honor/to know

Greek

εἰδέναι (eidenai)

Verb - Perfect Infinitive Active

To know, remember, appreciate.

So here are 5 things I need you to know

I am wrecked by the Gospel of Jesus Christ:

My wife and I have a burning desire to see God exalted in families.

To see men regain their place in God and in the home.

Proverbs 27:8 Like a bird that strays from its nest is a man who strays from his home.

#1. 85% of youth who are currently in prison grew up in a fatherless home. (Texas Department

of Corrections)

#4. Children from fatherless homes are twice as likely to drop out of school.

#13. 75% of adolescent patients being treated in substance abuse centers are from fatherless

homes. (U.S. Department of Justice)

#15. 90% of the youth in the United States who decide to run away from home, or become

homeless for any reason, originally come from a fatherless home. (U.S. Department of Justice)

#28. Children who live in a fatherless home are 279% more likely to deal drugs or carry firearms

for offensive purposes compared to children who live with their fathers. (Allen and Lo)

If a child is the first person in a household to become a Christian, there is a 3.5% probability

everyone else in the household will follow. If the mother is the first to become a Christian, there

is a 17% probability everyone else in the household will follow. However, when the father is

first, there is a 93% probability everyone else in the household will follow.

We are committed to sanctification rooted in the fear of the Lord.

We will not compromise!

Hebrews 10:26-31

26 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer

remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will

consume the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on

the evidence of two or three witnesses. 29 How much worse punishment, do you think, will be

deserved by the one who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned the blood

of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace? 30 For we

know him who said, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay.” And again, “The Lord will judge his

people.” 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Stained Glass | Pastor Chris Searcy | 2.18.24

Stained Glass

Step 1: Tools and Materials.

The artist will have to have all of the proper tools to do this job.

Its a lot: 12 to be exact glass, glass cutter, cutting oil, pliers, copper foil, soldering iron, solder, flux, grinder, safety glasses,

safety gloves, light box.

Step 2: Design. …

The first step is to know what to make. So the artist starts at the end, and works backward.

He dears the final product.

Step 3: Tracing the Design Onto the Glass. …

Once he has the master blueprint then he traces that design on to the glass.

Step 4: Cutting Straight Lines and curves. …

Then he begins to cut the glass.

Step 5: Cutting Curves. …

Curved lines are difficult to cut

Step 6: Grinding. …

After cutting its time to clean the edges so they hav to be grinned down

Step 7: Copper Foil. …

After those sharp dangerous edges are cut the are arrayed in beautiful copper.

Step 8: Soldering.

Soldering is used to bond two pieces of broken glass together by getting the metal so hot that it

melts

Step 9: Frame and hang.

After it is completed thats not it it must be hung, for all to see.

Ephesians 4:13

13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become

mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Hebrews 10:21-25

21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart

in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our

bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering,

for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and

good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one

another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

The Worthiness of Jesus Part II | Pastor Chris Searcy | 2.11.24

The Worthiness Of Jesus

A Roadmap to God’s destination for Fresh Anointing House of Worship

Context:

The Book of Isaiah, including Isaiah chapter 59, is generally considered to have been written in the 6th century (600) BC during the Babylonian exile or shortly before it.

Isaiah prophesies to the people of Judah and Jerusalem during a time of political and religious upheaval in the southern kingdom of Judah. His messages were directed primarily to the Israelites, including the leaders, rulers, and the general population.

Isaiah addressed various issues, including social injustice, idolatry, and disobedience to God's commandments. He warned the people about the consequences of their actions and called them to repentance. Additionally, Isaiah spoke about future events and the coming of the Messiah.

Isaiah 59:1-3

1

Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save,

    or his ear dull, that it cannot hear;

but your iniquities have made a separation

    between you and your God,

and your sins have hidden his face from you

so that he does not hear.

For your hands are defiled with blood

    and your fingers with iniquity;

your lips have spoken lies;

    your tongue mutters wickedness.

Isaiah 59:20-21

20 And a Redeemer will come to Zion,
to those in Jacob who turn from transgression,” declares the Lord.

21 “And as for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord: My Spirit that is upon you, and my words that I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, or out of the mouth of your offspring, or out of the mouth of your children's offspring,” says the Lord, from this time forth and forevermore.”

100-200 years later the children of Isreal return from exile and instead of repenting and following God they are just as wicked as the fathers that came before!

Context:

Approx. 100 years after the Israelites returned from Babylonian exile (likely to Jerusalem) about 500 to 400 years before Christ 5 or 4 BC.

They were expecting things to be great and for the messiah to come.

However, the Israelites who repopulated the city were just as corrupt as their earlier fathers. Stories in Ezra and Nehemiah).

Malachi 4:5-6

5 “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. 6 And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter destruction.”

Joel 2 is a description of the day of the Lord. His return.

Joel 2:28

28 “And it shall come to pass afterward,
    that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your old men shall dream dreams,
and your young men shall see visions.

Where are we going?
Ephesians 4:13

13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Thats what church is all about:

Ephesians 4:11
11And it was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for works of ministry and to build up the body of Christ,

Why:

Ephesians 4:14-15

14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed about by the waves and carried around by every wind of teaching and by the clever cunning of men in their deceitful scheming.

15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ Himself, who is the head.

What does that look like:

Ephesians 4:

17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do,

19 Having lost all sense of shame, they have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity, with a craving for more.

22 to put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be renewed in the spirit of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

25 Therefore……. each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor.

26 Be angry, yet do not sin.” Do not let the sun set upon your anger

28 He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing good with his own hands, that he may have something to share with the one in need.

29 Let no unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building up the one in need and bringing grace to those who listen.

30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

31Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, outcry and slander, along with every form of malice

32 Be kind and tenderhearted to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you.

And (therefore)

Ephesians 5

1 Be imitators of God, therefore, as beloved children, 2 and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant sacrificial offering to God.

3……. there must not be even a hint of:

sexual immorality

any kind of impurity

greed

4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or crude joking which are out of character, but rather thanksgiving.

6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be partakers with them.

8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, 9 for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.

10 Test and prove what pleases the Lord.

Ephesians 4:13

13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

How do we as a local body get there together?

In Christ | Bishop Kyle Searcy | 2.4.24

IN CHRIST

I. THE SUPERIORITY AND SIMPLICITY OF CHRIST

2 Cor 11:1-3

Oh, that you would bear with me in a little folly—and indeed you do bear with me.

2  For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one

husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3  But I fear, lest

somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be

corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Col 1:15-18

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16  For by Him all

things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible,

whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created

through Him and for Him. 17  And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

18  And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn

from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Hebrews 1:1-4

God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by

the prophets, 2  has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has

appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3  who being the

brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things

by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the

right hand of the Majesty on high, 4  having become so much better than the angels,

as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

II. “IN CHRIST” THE WAY WE ARE MEANT TO LIVE

1. Identification -

Gal 3:28-29

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither

male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29  And if you are Christ’s,

then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Col 3:1-3

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where

Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2  Set your mind on things above, not on

things on the earth. 3  For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Col 1:28

Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that

we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

Rom 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who

do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit

2. Motivation

Romans 6:1-4

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?

2  Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? 3  Or do you not

know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into

His death? 4  Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death,

that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so

we also should walk in newness of life.

Phil 3:7-11

But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. 8  Yet

indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ

Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as

rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9  and be found in Him, not having my own

righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ,

the righteousness which is from God by faith; 10  that I may know Him and the

power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed

to His death, 11  if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

3. Origination/Source

Rom 8:2

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of

sin and death.

Gal 5:16-18

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17  For

the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are

contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18  But if

you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

Eph 1:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with

every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

4. Activation

Eph 1:19-20

and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe,

according to the working of His mighty power 20  which He worked in Christ when

He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly

places, 21  far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every

name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

Eph 2:4-7

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

5  even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by

grace you have been saved), 6  and raised us up together, and made us sit

together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7  that in the ages to come He

might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ

Jesus

Luke 10:17-18

Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject

to us in Your name.” 18  And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from

heaven. 19  Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions,

and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
