I. Authorization

Subdue – Subjugate, Violate

Psalm 115:14-16

14 May the LORD give you increase more and more, You and your children. 15 May you

be blessed by the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. 16 The heaven, even the

heavens, are the LORD’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men.

Psalm 8:4-6

4 What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? 5

For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him

with glory and honor. 6 You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your

hands; You have put all things under his feet.

1. Your Personal sovereignty Demands Agreement

a. Agreement is the door to the spiritual realm

Romans 10:9-11

9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart

that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10  For with the

heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is

made unto salvation. 11  For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will

not be put to shame

Romans 6:16

16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his

servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience

unto righteousness?


2. Agreement in Scripture

James 1:12-15

12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been

approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to

those who love Him. 13  Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted

by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt

anyone. 14  But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own

desires and enticed. 15  Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to

sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

Mark 11:22-24

2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot

iron.”

3. Our Warfare is About Agreements

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4  For the

weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling

down of strong holds; 5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that

exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every

thought to the obedience of Christ

Casting Down Imaginations – “logismos” (Strong’s Concordance

#3053). It is a “reckoning, computation, a reasoning such as hostile to the

Christian faith; a judgment or decision such as conscience passes.”

Bringing Into Captivity – Most of us have never been physically captive

to someone or incarcerated in a prison, so “captivity” can be a challenging

concept for us. The word here speaks of captivation. When you are

captivated by something or someone, it is hard to break away from what

has your attention. But also the word implies “to lead away captive.”


IV. DEALING WITH UNRIGHTEOUS AGREEMENTS


1. Ask God to show us all unrighteous agreements in our mind

2. Recognize and admit that you have agreed with the wrong source

3. Rehearse what the truth says about it

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble,

whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are

lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there

is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Deuteronomy 18:10

the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a

sorcerer,

Galatians 5:19-21

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness,

lewdness, 20  Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, contentions, Jealousies, wrath, strife, seditions,

heresies, 21  envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand,

just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the

kingdom of God

14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to

us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15  Having disarmed

principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it

18  And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates

of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19  And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and

whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be

II. WE THE VICTOR

servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.” 18  And

this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the

spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And he

1 Kings 19:1-3

1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, also how he had executed all the

prophets with the sword. 2  Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So

let the gods do to me, and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one

of them by tomorrow about this time.” 3  And when he saw that, he arose and ran

for his life, and went to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant

there.

Six Manifestations of a Witchcraft Attack

1. Discouragement

2. Confusion

4. Loss of Vision

Luke 13:10-12

10 Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. 11  And behold,

there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over

and could in no way raise herself up. 12  But when Jesus saw her, He called her to

Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.”


IV. HOW TO DEAL WITH WITCHCRAFT


1. Name of Jesus

2. Blood of Jesus

3. Verbally rendering it illegal

Isaiah 54:17

17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises

against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of

the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the LORD

19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all

the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Re-introduction to the Gospel



Two important things we are looking to do:

  1. Introduced first timers to the gospel.

    That we were dead in our sins. (Not hurting, struggling, failing, but dead) because of the sin of Adam.
    Until God in his mercy made a covenant with Abraham and his dependents, and through Abraham’s lineage came Jesus, God in Human form to reconcile humanity Jew and Gentile to himself.

    Ephesians 2:4-5 
    But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.
  2. Armed believers with a basis for evangelism.

    We have a command to evangelize:

    The Great Commission
    Matthew 28:16-20
    16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

    We must share with unbelievers that they have a dire eternal problem that we answer to.

    Romans 6:23
    For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.


Two potential stumbling blocks

  1. We are in the south where everyone thinks they are saved! 
    1. Gives a false sense of salvation.
      1. Matthew 7:1,5… 1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
  2. Our world is seeking to define good independent of God!
    1. Culture is trying to change what good is.
      1. Thou shall have no other God’s before me…
      2. Fornicators shall not inherit the kingdom of heaven…
      3. Homosexuals shall not enter the kingdom of heaven…
      4. Drunkards will not inherit the kingdom of heaven…

Ten Commandments & 1Corinthians 6:10



Society has completely abandoned the law of god and has re-written it according to its own desires and lusts.


Here’s how they did it:


  1. You do that by moving the standard of morality from something central like the Gospel, to the fringes of society. Consequently, accepted good is ever widening to accept whoever is at the fringe of the social norm.


    • It started with fornication through the sexual revolution in the 1960’s -1980’s
    • Then the gay rights movement beginning in the 1970’s-1990’s
    • Then the Trans rights movement 1970’s - present
    • Next up: Pedophilia 


  • Old Dominion University professor Allyn Walker aiming to destigmatize pedophilia wrote a book called.
    A Long Dark Shadow: Minor-Attracted People and Their Pursuit of Dignity.
  • A trustee on the board of a UK charity for transgender children resigned:

    Dr Jacob Breslow said in part, “Allowing for a form of non-diagnosable minor attraction is exciting, as it potentially creates a sexual or political identity by which activists, scholars and clinicians can begin to better understand Minor Attracted Persons.”
    “This understanding may displace the stigma, fear and abjection that is naturalized as being attached to Minor Attracted Persons and may alter the terms by which non-normative sexualities are known,” he continued. “Furthermore, this paper argues that this distinction is potentially another step towards the complete re-thinking of abnormal sexual desires within the DSM – a step that follows historically and theoretically from the removal of homosexuality.”

    Homosexuality no longer a mental disorder in the DSM:
    1987 the American Psychiatric Association revised its Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) to entirely remove homosexuality as a disorder.
  • California Senate bill SB14 sought to make trafficking a child under 17 a serious felony. The average age of children being trafficked is 10.

    It failed to pass the public safety committee. Because, none of the six Democrats on the Assembly Public Safety Committee would vote for it.

    You can rob a bank with a note, you can commit arson and that is a serious felony but trafficking a child is not.

    Only after national backlash were they forced to re-vote and it passed.
  • At the same time as this push to destigmatize pedophilia there is a movie currently in theaters detailing Tim Ballard’s attempts to rescue trafficked children.

    “I wonder how our great institutions responded to it.”
  • Media is almost unanimously calling it a conspiracy theory
  1. Trafficking is more than a $150 billion a year industry 
  2. The film was made 5 years ago before the Qanon conspiracy was a public phenomenon.
  3. The US which is the highest consuming country for child exploitation material on the planet. 


Here is what their fate is:


Isaiah 5:20, 24-25

20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

25 Therefore is the anger of the Lord kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.


The plan of the enemy is to pervert the mind so that the way of iniquity seems right to man. 


Yet, despite their best attempts, The gospel is the unchanging standard of truth.

It can not be moved, it will not change, it is constant. 



Revelations 12:11 (Jesus binds the devil and casts him out)

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.



1Corinthians 6:10-12

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ:


This book is the most beautiful book ever written in history because it is the revealing of the most desirable man in the history of heaven and earth.

The darling of Heaven, The Just One, the King of Kings and Lord Of all Lords is being revealed to us in this book. 


For those that belong to him it is a great prophecy, but for those who reject his mercy, and love it is a terrible day. 


THE DAY OF THE LORD


The Day of the Lord refers to the unique events (positive and negative) that will escalate in the final 3 1/2 years before Jesus returns. This biblical theme is mentioned nearly 100 times.


Joel 2:11:

11 For the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; who can endure it?  

Malachi. 4:5:

5 I will send you Elijah...before...the great and dreadful day of the LORD. 


Judgment seat of Christ 

Christ will evaluate each heart and works in accordance with the teaching of scripture.


9 Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. 10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. 11Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men…(2 Cor. 5:9-11)


New Heaven New Earth

Revelation 21:1-4

1. Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”


Hope in the Resurrection

2 Corinthians. 5:1

…we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven. 


For those new to the Gospel this is why we pick up our Cross and follow him, because he is worthy. And because he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

Re-introduction to the Gospel


Two Goals:

1. Introduce those to the gospel that may have never heard it fully explained.

2. Arm believers with a proper explanation / defense of the Gospel.

We have a command to go and proclaim the gospel.

The Great Commission

Matthew 28:16-20

“In today’s climate a re-introduction to the Gospel is needed.” -Chris Searcy

Here’s why a re-introduction is so important:

1. Many profess to be followers of Christ but aren’t.

2. Our world is seeking to define good independent of God.

1. Many are false Claiming

1. Makes it harder to preach the gospel to them.

2. Gives a false sense of salvation.

2. The world has established good without God

1. Culture is trying to change what good is.

1. Thou shall not steal..... “but looting is ok.”

2. Thou shall not covet.... “but they shouldn’t be flexing like that.”

3. Thou shall have no other God’s before me... “I’m into spirituality."

4. Fornicators shall not inherit the kingdom of heaven... “God knows your heart.”

5. Adulterers shall not enter the kingdom of heaven... “I was just so alone.”

6. Homosexuals shall not enter the kingdom of heaven... “Love is love.”

7. Drunkards will not inherit the kingdom of heaven... “Turn up!!! Drive the boat.”

Ten Commandments & 1Corinthians 6:10

Here is what their fate is:

the same perversion he used in the garden of Eden.

How the enemy does it:

He Change who defines good.

1. He convinces culture to move the standard of truth and moral law from something

central like the Gospel, to the fringes of society.

2. Consequently, the parameters of good are ever widening to accept whoever is at

the fringe of the social norm.


Yet, despite their best attempts, here lies the gospel! The unchanging standard of truth.

The Gospel Message!

Here is what people must understand about themselves before they can fully comprehend the

gospel:

That as a result of birth you were stewed in iniquity because of Adam, and shortly after your

birth you followed in his footsteps by committing your own sin.

“The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, does it?”

Unless we are convinced of that. Unless we are aware of our impending doom......

the gospel to man is useless.

If people are unaware of this fact then they will invariably think that by some function of their

own strength they can make themselves a “good person.”

So when teaching /sharing the gospel.

The most fundamental building block is not what God can give you or how he can bless you,

its that he is the only one who can save us from the eternal penalty of our sin.

BUT HERES THE SWEETENER!!!!!

Loved by God


“What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us. ...

Worship is pure or base as the worshiper entertains high or low thoughts of God.

For this reason the gravest question before the Church is always God Himself, and the most

portentous fact about any man is not what he at a given time may say or do, but what he in his

deep heart conceives God to be like. We tend by a secret law of the soul to move toward our

mental image of God. This is true not only of the individual Christian, but of the company of

Christians that composes the Church. Always the most revealing thing about the Church is her

idea of God, just as her most significant message is what she says about Him or leaves unsaid,

for her silence is often more eloquent than her speech. ...”

The view of many is that God is mostly mad or sad when He relates to us.

Hebrews. 1:9

Jesus walked in the anointing of gladness more than any man in history.

Psalm. 16:11

11In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forever.

John. 17:23

23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know

that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.

The way we view God’s heart toward us affects how we approach him.

It determines whether we run to God or from God when we stumble in sin and weakness.

The greatest emotional need for all humans is the assurance that we are loved and enjoyed by

God, even in our weakness.

This is evident in the story of Adam and Eve:

Genesis 3:8-10

8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the

man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the

garden. 9 But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 And he

said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid

myself.”

If we feel dirty, then we will live dirty.

If we feel clean, then we will live clean.

We were all created with a longing to know that God delights in us and enjoys us.

HERES THE GOOD NEWS!:

We can draw near to God with confidence knowing two things:

That He loves us even in our weakness.

Hebrews 10:19,22


19 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of

Jesus,

22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled

clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Romans 8:1

8 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

(The adversary accuses us before God day and night (Rev 12:10) but God’s blood speaks a

better word)

Luke. 15:11-32): The Prodigal Son

20“And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw

him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.” (Lk. 15:20)

1. Saw: The father was earnestly watching for the return of his son.

2. Compassion: The father had tender feelings, not anger, toward the prodigal son.

3. Ran: The father had enthusiasm; it was unusual for a father to run to a rebellious son.

4. Fell on his neck: The father embraced him instead of being disgusted and angry.

5. Kissed: The father’s kiss signified the restoration of favor.

21“And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no

longer worthy to be called your son.’” (Lk. 15:21)

The father said shut up, and prevented him for asking to be a “hired servant.”

The father gave the best robes, the family ring, shoes, and a feast to celebrate the return of his

son.

Luke 15:22

22“But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring

on his hand and sandals on his feet. 23And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat

and be merry; 24...my son was dead and is alive again...’ And they began to be merry.”

And that our weak love for Him moves Him.

Isa. 62:4-5

4...But you shall be called Hephzibah...for the LORD delights in you…

5 as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.

Zephaniah. 3:17
