The Worthiness Of Jesus | Pastor Chris Searcy | 1.28.24

The Worthiness Of Jesus

A Roadmap to God’s destination for Fresh Anointing House of Worship

Have you ever started a new job and a few months in you’re wondered where is this

going?

Have you ever been working out with a trainer and wondered angrily where is this

going?

Have you ever been in a relationship and you’ve wondered where is this going?

Have you ever been apart of a church and wondered?

It doesn’t feel good does it.

Its kind of disorienting isn’t it

You don’t know where to get in, or how to fit in.

Why, because you don’t know……… Where you’re going!

Turn to your neighbor and say Where are you going?!

So for the next few weeks we are going to be unpacking as a ministry

where we are going,

what is our mission

how we are going to get there.

The question we will begin to answer today is: Where are we going?

To understand where we are going we have to know where we are:

We are (former) gentiles. Not descendants of Abraham.

Jesus when he came and died established a new covenant (worthiness of Jesus).

That established him as the way the truth and the life no one can come to the father…

Paul talks about that in Romans 10.

Romans 10:12-13 (ESV):

12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all,

bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13 For everyone who calls on the name of

the Lord will be saved.

So as gentiles we have been grafted in to the beautiful glorious covenant with a worthy

God……

But like the Children of Isreal we have gone astray.

Our country is becoming more and more wicked.

But so unfortunately are some in the church.

We wont focus on that…….. but what is remarkable is God’s remedy and promise to his

people during these times.

We are going to Isaiah 59

Context:

The Book of Isaiah, including Isaiah chapter 59, is generally considered to have been

written in the 6th century (600) BC during the Babylonian exile or shortly before it.

Isaiah prophesies to the people of Judah and Jerusalem during a time of political and

religious upheaval in the southern kingdom of Judah. His messages were directed

primarily to the Israelites, including the leaders, rulers, and the general population.

Isaiah addressed various issues, including social injustice, idolatry, and disobedience to

God's commandments. He warned the people about the consequences of their actions

and called them to repentance. Additionally, Isaiah spoke about future events and the

coming of the Messiah.

Isaiah 59:1-3

1

Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save,

    or his ear dull, that it cannot hear;

but your iniquities have made a separation

    between you and your God,

and your sins have hidden his face from you

so that he does not hear.

For your hands are defiled with blood

    and your fingers with iniquity;

your lips have spoken lies;

    your tongue mutters wickedness.

Isaiah 59:20-21

20 “And a Redeemer will come to Zion,

to those in Jacob who turn from transgression,” declares the Lord.

21 “And as for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord: “My Spirit that is upon

you, and my words that I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, or

out of the mouth of your offspring, or out of the mouth of your children's offspring,” says

the Lord, “from this time forth and forevermore.”

100-200 years later the children of Israel return from exile and instead of repenting and

following God they are just as wicked as the fathers that came before!

Context:

Approx. 100 years after the Israelites returned from Babylonian exile (likely to

Jerusalem) about 500 to 400 years before Christ 5 or 4 BC.

They were expecting things to be great and for the messiah to come.

However, the Israelites who repopulated the city were just as corrupt as their earlier

fathers. Stories in Ezra and Nehemiah).

Malachi 4:5-6

5 “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of

the Lord comes. 6 And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts

of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter

destruction.”

The picture is… Gods people are acting a fool and he says you know what for centuries

I have tried to persuade you to follow me but you wont so ill raise up Babylon to take

you captive.

And I myself will come and deliver you. And when I deliver you this is what I will promise

you…… my spirit and words wont depart your mouth your children’s mouth or their

children’s mouth.

WHAT?!?!?!?!

God who commands the armies of heaven…… has a plan to cloth himself in humanity,

rescue his people and then establish a new covenant…….

And this is his covenant!

One to two centuries later the people of God are released from exile in Babylon… they

return to Jerusalem and guess what?!

ARE WICKED AGAIN!!!!!!

And so God says in the last book of the old testament….. the last thing canonized

before Jesus comes….

“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of

the Lord comes. 6 And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts

of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter

destruction.”

But what about Gods plan as we get close to his return!

When he is coming back as a man of war to conquer the nations and judge the living

and the dead!

what is his plan for his people to partner with him.

Joel 2 is a description of the day of the Lord. His return.

Joel 2:28

28 “And it shall come to pass afterward,

    that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh;

your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,

your old men shall dream dreams,

and your young men shall see visions.

Turn to your neighbor and say….. WHERE ARE WE GOING?!?!?

This is where!

We are going to obey the commands of the Lord and we are going:

Turn our hearts to eachother

Get the word in us and those that come after us

And we are going to contend for the outpouring of the spirit prophesied in Joel 2.

Why…. BECAUSE JESUS IS WORTHY!

Thats why not because of xyz

But because he came and lived the perfect life died on our behalf and is worthy of his

inheritance in the nations!

Spiritual Antenna | Bishop Fred Adetunji | 1.21.24

Spiritual Antenna

"Tuning into God's Frequency to deliver men"

In 1 Corinthians 2:16, we read, "For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ." (To provide with authoritative information or advice) Gen 1:26 / Gen 2:7 God breath into man

Rom 11:34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counselor?

Instruct/counsel

Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

How do you walk by the spirit?

1. Depend on the spirit power

2. Grow in Godliness

3. Obey God’s commands

4. Increase intimacy with God

We are to instruct or remind Him according to His word

Because we have His mind

GK Nooce: meaning

A. the mind: faculties of perceiving and understanding Eg feeling, judging, determining

B. capacity for understanding spiritual truth, ability to recognize goodness and hating evil

D. the power of judging soberly, calmly and impartially (authority)

Because we know HIM as HE KNOWS us GK Ginosko

A. to learn to know, come to know,

To be intimate with him or to become acquainted with Him

Knowing God. require communication and personal relationships which bring you to a place of revelation.

This is a year of intimacy with God: HE wants to reveal himself  to us and through us by His word

We are ambassadors of the Lord

Eze37:1~14

Ezekiel 22:29-31

The people of the land have used oppression, exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.

30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

31 Therefore have I poured out my indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.

2 chronicles 7:12

12 And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for a house of sacrifice.

13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attend unto the prayer made in this place.

This is a year of intimacy with God:

To offer ourself as sacrifices

Why a house of prayer?

Creation is growling for the sons of God. (Rom 8:22)

5. God wants to use you to stop what the enemy is doing.

Gen 3:8 God has a habit of working with Man.

Most of the mighty men in the bible had fellowship with God.

He used Abraham to intercede for Lot, Genesis 18:16-33,19:29

Moses for Israel: Exodus 32:31

He is waiting on you to give your all

Gen 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him

Gen 6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God

Gen 17:1, And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect

.

To possess the mind of Christ means

we have received His thoughts, His love, His wisdom, and His values.

Our purpose is not just to hold these treasures within ourselves but to transmit them to others, sharing the good news and being His voice in this world.

Antena is of no use if it fails to transmit.

Similarly, as Christians,

we are not passive; we are active transmitters of the divine signal. We are called to radiate the love of Christ,

We are to share the message of forgiveness, and to communicate His will and purpose  to humanity with clarity and fervor.

But how do we ensure that the signal we send is clear

The key is to remain firmly grounded in the scriptures and in prayer.

By studying the Bible, we align ourselves with God's word. In prayer,

We maintain our connection with the Divine, much like a tower that requires a power source to function.

Through the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to communicate the truths of the gospel.

Let us not forget that an antenna receives signal reaches and send it to all directions, without discrimination.

Likewise, Christ's message through us should extend to all peoples, regardless of their background, status, or previous beliefs. In

Matthew 28:19, Jesus commands us, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations..."

This is our commission, to broadcast far and wide.

However, we must be mindful of the condition of our tower.

In a world fraught with noise and interference, we need to ensure that our signal remains strong.

We must guard against the corrosion of sin,

the rust of complacency, and the damage of false teachings,

Our maintenance comes through the pursuit of holiness, repentance, and continual growth in faith.

As we emit the frequencies of kindness, mercy, and justice, our lives themselves become messages of hope and transformation, drawing others to Christ.

Let us, therefore, stand firm as communication towers for Jesus Christ.

Let His word resonate through us.

May we spread the message of His love, hope, and salvation to every corner of the earth.

And in doing so, may we fulfill our calling to be faithful ambassadors of Christ,

serving as the very conduits of God's grace to a world in desperate need of His divine message.

Amen.

Isa 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever.

Mat 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Mat 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Mat 6:10 Thy kingdom comes. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.

We're In This Thing Together | Bishop Kyle | 1.14.24

WERE IN THIS THING TOGETHER

Isaiah 59:19-21

So, shall they fear The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun;

When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. “The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” Says the Lord.n21 “As for Me,” says the Lord, “this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” says the Lord, “from this time and forevermore.”

Isaiah 60:1-4

Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. 2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. 3 The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. 4 “Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side.

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 24 “This is what pertains to the Levites: From twenty-five years old and above one may enter to perform service in the work of the tabernacle of meeting; 25 and at the age of fifty years they must cease performing this work, and shall work no more. 26 They may minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of meeting, to attend to needs, but they themselves shall do no work. Thus you shall do to the Levites regarding their duties.”
