The Blessed Life (Part 2) -“Transformed into a Walking Blessing”

“Transformed into a Walking Blessing”

Romans 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Your genes don’t control you. You control your genes
Our genes may determine physical characteristics but not psychological phenomena
We have natural genes and spiritual genes

I.                   WE CREATE REALITY WITH ____MINDS_.
1.      Thoughts Produce Signals

i.e. Our Thinking Produces
·         Magnetic Fields that can be measured
·         Electrical Impulses that can be tracked
·         Chemical Effects that can be seen and measured
·         Photons these can be captured on a computer screen
·         Energy Activity that can be explained
·         Vibrations in Membranes of Neurons can be picked up by instruments

·         90 to 99% of the action in our mind happens in the non-conscious metacognitive level. At this level there’re about 400 billion actions per second.
·
·         The conscious cognitive level is 10% of my action. It functions at about two thousand actions per second.

·         One brain generates more (electrical impulses) in one day than all the cell phones on the planet.

2.       These ___ SIGNALS _ Start a Process
a.       Signal travels to cell chromosomes
b.      They travel to a particular strand of DNA
c.       The strand is zipped up (cocoon state)
d.      The signal causes it to open, unzip
e.       It releases a code (blueprint) determining what type of proteins to create
f.        RNA takes a photo copy
g.       Molecules in the cell create protein around that thought or memory and it is reality
h.      These proteins hold the thought/memory you just created

3.       These thoughts affect us and 4 ___ GENERATIONS _ after us
a.       Our genes are dormant until switched on by a signal. They are potential waiting to become what you want them to become.
b.      Science has shown how the thought networks pass through the ova by DNA to the next four generation

Exodus 20:5
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.

II.                WHAT KIND OF REALITY ARE WE CREATING?

Proverbs 17:22
A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.
The proteins from negative toxic thoughts are different from others
III.             WE CAN CHANGE OUR BRAIN
1.      Neuroplasticity
When we constantly choose to bring a memory into consciousness, it becomes plastic enough to actually be changed

Our brain generates more energy (electrical impulses) in one day than all the cell phones on the planet.

2.      Conscious Change
a.       Memories become changeable when we pull them into the prefrontal cortex area of our brain

3.      This is where we must war
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

IV.              HOW DO WE WAR
1.       SLOWING   Down

Psalm 46:10
“Be still and know that I am God…”
Slowing down, introspection I’m a self-reflection, Prayer, meditation enhance and improve our brain function and our mental and physical health.
The non-conscious mind has the roots of who we are.
Proverbs 23:7
As a man thinks in His heart so is He
When we meditate and think deep the DMN (Default mode network) becomes more effective
Psalm 1:1-3
Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3            He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

2.      Becoming aware of ___Negative thoughts.

Psalm 4:4
Stand in awe, and sin not: Commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

V.                 USING THE ___SPIRIT_ AND THE ___WORD_TO BECOME THE BLESSING

1.       Weapon one; THE WORD
Hebrews 4:12
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
                        Joshua 1:8
2.       Weapon two: ____THE SPIRIT
1 Corinthians 2:10-12
10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

The Blessed Life- Blessed in Christ

I.                 WHAT IS BLESSING?
1.    Status.
Proverbs 10:22
22 The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.

Psalm 115:14
14 May the Lord give you increase more and more, you and your children. 15 May you be blessed by the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

2.    Government.
Genesis 1:28
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion.

3.    Identity.
Romans 15:28-29
28 When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain. 29 And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.

II.             WHY ARE WE BLESSED?
1.    Because Christ is Blessed.
Romans 9:5
Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen.

2.    Because we are in Him.
Galatians 3:15-16
15 Brethren, I speak in the manner of men: Though it is only a man’s covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no one annuls or adds to it. 16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ.

·        Christ slain from foundation of world. 1 Peter 1:19-20
·        All judgment committed to son. John 5:22
·        Whoever has Son has life whoever has not the Son the wrath of God Abides on Him. John 3:36
·        In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Colossians 2:9
·        We are complete in him. Colossians 2:10

III.         THE POWER OF IN….
Ex. Something can be in a can or bag but not part of it
In Christ means grafted in
Romans 11:17
17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree.

Romans 11:17NLT
17 But some of these branches from Abraham’s tree—some of the people of Israel—have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, have been grafted in. So now you also receive the blessing God has promised Abraham and his children, sharing in the rich nourishment from the root of God’s special olive tree.

Hebrews 7:5-10
For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all…Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils…. Here mortal men receive tithes, but there he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives. Even Levi, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham10 for he was still in the loins of his father when Melchizedek met him.

In Christ means I have access……
John 15:1-5
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit….Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

IV.          THE BENEFITS OF BEING IN CHRIST.
1.    New Creation.
2 Corinthians 5:16-17
16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

2.    New DNA.
1 John 3:9
Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

3.    We already have everything we need.
Ephesians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

We must understand epigenetic(s)

Epigenetics - Epigenetics is the study, in the field of genetics, of cellular and physiological trait variations that are caused by external or environmental factors that switch genes on and off and affect how cells read genes instead of being caused by changes in the DNA sequence. Hence, epigenetic research seeks to describe dynamic alterations in the transcriptional potential of a cell.

It's Time to be Free- Pastor Sederick Fluker

Luke 4:18
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.

Each year on the 4th of July, also known as Independence Day, we celebrate our freedom as a nation and all of the benefits that come along with that freedom.  However, as we celebrate being physically free, in reality there are many individuals who are spiritually in bondage.  Even believers can fall captive to things that hinder their spiritual growth and progression in the things of God. The good news is that Jesus came to set every captive free, and through the finished work of the cross we have been made free indeed.  Therefore, we must begin walking in the full liberty Christ has made available to us. Simply stated, “It’s time to be free”!  The condition of our world depends on it.

         I. Why does God need “us” completely liberated in this season?
    1.     Because the world needs a template for righteousness.
Matthew 9:9 And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.

1 Corinthians 4:15-16 “ For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.” (KJV)

    2.    Because he wants to bring us into the fulfillment of his promises and blessings.
Exodus 3:7-8a  “And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey;

II. things we need to be liberated from in this season.
    1.    We need to be free from:
a)   Wrong Associations.
1 Corinthians 15:33 Amplified Bible (AMP) “Do not be deceived bad company corrupts good morals.”
b)   Destructive habits and addictions.
c)    The Past.
Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV) Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
d)   Ourselves Sometimes the biggest enemy is the “inner me”; self-gratification can cause us to obstruct our own freedom.
James 1:13-15 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

III. How Do we walk in the freedom provided by christ?
       a)   Admit we need to be liberated from current places/situations we are in.
       Matthew 14:29-30
And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the       water,to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous,he was afraid; and                     beginning to sink,he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

        b)   Be willing to change.

        Acts 2:38

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of
you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall
receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

        c)    submit yourself completely to the lord.
            James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

         d)   stay committed to Christ.

Proverbs 24:16 Amplified Bible (AMP)

For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again,
But the wicked stumble in time of disaster and collapse.
