THE HEBREW ALPHABET

was the beginning of Rosh Hashanah or the Jewish New Year. The Jewish community
does not use the Roman Gregorian calendar we do. It’s the Jewish Year of 5774.
In the Hebrew Alphabet each letter
has a numerical value.
Each Hebrew Character Has A Pictorial
Meaning As Well.

Ayin
dalet means “74″ in Hebrew – ayin meaning 70 and dalet, 4
·
Ayin
means Eye (sight, revelation,
wisdom, understanding the ability to perceive wisdom.

Dalet is the picture of a hanging tent door. The
door, dalet, also can mean the movement of one coming from or
going into the tent.
