The Blessed Life- Blessed in Christ

I.                 WHAT IS BLESSING?
1.    Status.
Proverbs 10:22
22 The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.

Psalm 115:14
14 May the Lord give you increase more and more, you and your children. 15 May you be blessed by the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

2.    Government.
Genesis 1:28
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion.

3.    Identity.
Romans 15:28-29
28 When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain. 29 And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.

II.             WHY ARE WE BLESSED?
1.    Because Christ is Blessed.
Romans 9:5
Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen.

2.    Because we are in Him.
Galatians 3:15-16
15 Brethren, I speak in the manner of men: Though it is only a man’s covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no one annuls or adds to it. 16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ.

·        Christ slain from foundation of world. 1 Peter 1:19-20
·        All judgment committed to son. John 5:22
·        Whoever has Son has life whoever has not the Son the wrath of God Abides on Him. John 3:36
·        In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Colossians 2:9
·        We are complete in him. Colossians 2:10

III.         THE POWER OF IN….
Ex. Something can be in a can or bag but not part of it
In Christ means grafted in
Romans 11:17
17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree.

Romans 11:17NLT
17 But some of these branches from Abraham’s tree—some of the people of Israel—have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, have been grafted in. So now you also receive the blessing God has promised Abraham and his children, sharing in the rich nourishment from the root of God’s special olive tree.

Hebrews 7:5-10
For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all…Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils…. Here mortal men receive tithes, but there he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives. Even Levi, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham10 for he was still in the loins of his father when Melchizedek met him.

In Christ means I have access……
John 15:1-5
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit….Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

IV.          THE BENEFITS OF BEING IN CHRIST.
1.    New Creation.
2 Corinthians 5:16-17
16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

2.    New DNA.
1 John 3:9
Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

3.    We already have everything we need.
Ephesians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

We must understand epigenetic(s)

Epigenetics - Epigenetics is the study, in the field of genetics, of cellular and physiological trait variations that are caused by external or environmental factors that switch genes on and off and affect how cells read genes instead of being caused by changes in the DNA sequence. Hence, epigenetic research seeks to describe dynamic alterations in the transcriptional potential of a cell.
