SUFFICIENT IV. Healing Through the Blood

      I.         SUFFICIENT

1.     Jesus Fulfilled all Requirements

Lev 16:14

He shall take some of the blood of the bull and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat on the east side; and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.

a.     Garden of Gethsemane

Luke 22:44

And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

b.     Beaten with Rods

Matthew 26:67

Then they spat in His face and beat Him; and others struck Him with the palms of their hands

Micah 5:1

Now gather yourself in troops, O daughter of troops; He has laid siege against us; They will strike the judge of Israel with a rod on the cheek.

c.     Scourging

Matthew 27:26

Then he released Barabbas to them; and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered Himto be crucified.

d.     Beard Plucked

Isaiah 50:6

I gave My back to those who struck Me, And My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard; I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.

e.     Crown of Thorns

Matthew 27:28

And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him. When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”

f.      Crucifixion

Matthew 27:35

Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments, casting lots, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet: “They divided My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.”

g.     The Spear

John 19:34

But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.

Blood Activates Covenant

Exodus 24:6-7

And Moses took half the blood and put it in basins, and half the blood he sprinkled on the altar. Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, “All that the Lord has said we will do, and be obedient.”

Heb 9:18

Therefore not even the first covenant was dedicated without blood.

2.     Blood is Currency

In the spirit realm, blood is a means of exchange or a currency.

This is why the blood that was shed by our Lord Jesus on the Cross of Calvary is the most expensive price ever paid or that will ever be paid.

3.     The Blood Speaks for You

Heb 12:24

To Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

    II.         HEALING

1.     Sin, Sickness and Satan all roots of the same tree

Psalm 103:1-3

Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases

Isaiah 53:5

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24

Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

Mark 6:56

Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.

“The word saved in Rom 10:9-10 is the same word translated “made whole”  Sozo  Other translations of Sozo are Mark 5:23 (healed); Mark 16:16 (saved); Luke 8:36 (healed); Acts 2:21 (saved); Acts 14:9 (healed); Eph 2:8 (saved); James 5:15 (save); Mark 5:34 (Made whole);

Sin and sickness are from the same tree and both are enemies to God:

2.     The Blood Heals

a.     It healed under the Old Covenant

Exodus 12:7,13,22-23

And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it, 13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt, 22 And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning. 23 For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you.

Psalm 105:36-37

He also destroyed all the firstborn in their land, The first of all their strength. He also brought them out with silver and gold, And there was none feeble among His tribes

b.     Communion is a Testament

1 Cor 11:29-31

For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. 31 For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.

Discerning -diakrino – waver, doubt

c.     Natural Blood Heals

Lev 17:11

For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’

·      Carries oxygen and nutrients to every cell

·      Removes carbon dioxide and waste from cells,

·      Regulates bodies pH balance

·      Regulates body temperature

·      Contains messages (ex. Doctors determining what’s wrong from your blood)

·      Blood is 8% of your body weight

·      Adults have 5.8 quarts of blood

·      Circulatory system circulates 2000+ gallons of blood per day

·      RBC’S make up 45% of your total blood volume. They carry oxygen and carbon dioxide from lungs to cells and from cells to lungs

·      WBC’S and Platelets 1% of blood. They protect against viruses, bacteria and toxins

  III.         APPLYING THE BLOOD

1.     Pleading the Blood

PLEADING THE BLOOD IS A LEGAL TERM

Rom 8:33

Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.

The term “pleading the blood” might sound like begging, but it isn’t begging at all. “Pleading the blood” is actually a legal term. Think of it like a lawyer pleading his case before the judge. He presents evidence and facts to support his case.

When Jesus shed His blood on the cross, He accomplished more than Redemption and remission of sins. The blood of Jesus reversed every part of the curse. That includes sickness, disease, poverty, lack, depression, strife, addiction or any type of bondage to sin. It’s done. Finished. Over. History. Those things have no legal right to be in your life any longer.

But here’s something he doesn’t want you to know—he has no legal right to any part of your life.

2.     Imagination

3.     Identifying with the Blood (Communion)
